New York Chicken & Gyro was founded in 2017 in Canoga Park, CA with a simple mission: to bring the authentic flavor of New York City’s halal street food to Los Angeles. Inspired by the food carts that line the streets of NYC, we set out to create a fast-casual experience that delivers bold flavors, high-quality halal meats, and generous portions—all served with genuine hospitality. What started as one location quickly grew into a local favorite, known for its fresh ingredients, house-made sauces, and commitment to great service. "It was 1:30am and I was craving something fresh and not so much fast food. NY Chicken and Gyro definitely fulfilled my craving! The portion for the platter was a bit larger than I expected. The lamb was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The only thing I wish was different was that I requested more salad. Overall, it's freaking delicious and worth the money!"

"Per usual they did not disappoint. I got the Mix Platter. As you can see they fill their plates really well. The food is always delicious and the food is prepared in a timely manner. The mix platter has chicken and lamb with basmati rice and salad. They also give a side of white and red sauce. The red sauce is spicy while the white sauce is tangy."
